This is our generic flyer. The celebration of life will be for Gerald
"Boats" Patrie. Recently retired member of our great club. As he was
one that did not like big celebrations on his behalf we will be keeping
it simple, a few words, stories, and a drink to our departed brother.
There will be a flag retirement ceremony in the evening, as we have
amassed a bunch of flags since our last ceremony.
We will have the time for rides, and someone available to show you
around the back roads if you would like to take a ride.
We will be doing a dry poker run at the clubhouse with prizes awarded,
raffles, music, and of course whatever weird stuff happens.
Hope to see all that can attend.
Note: Hotels in the area, north and south of the clubhouse a couple of
miles. (Atoka and Millington)

Arbor Day (or Arbour in some countries) is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Today, many countries observe such a holiday. Though usually observed in the spring, the date varies, depending on climate and suitable planting season.
Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a celebration held on May 5.
The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico's Independence Day—the most important national holiday in Mexico—which is celebrated on September 16.
The modern American holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia. Her campaign to make "Mother's Day" a recognized holiday in the United States began in 1905, the year her beloved mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, died. Anna’s mission was to honor her own mother by continuing work she had started and to set aside a day to honor mothers, "the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world." Anna's mother, Ann Jarvis, was a peace activist who had cared for wounded soldiers on both sides of the Civil War and created Mother’s Day Work Clubs to address public health issues.
In the United States, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It falls near the end of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May and ends on the third Sunday of May.
First observed on 20 May 1950, the day was created on 31 August 1949, to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches – the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard – following the consolidation of the military services in the U.S. Department of Defense. It was intended to replace the separate Army-, Navy-, Air Force-, Marine Corps- and Coast Guard Days, but the separate days are still observed, especially within the respective services.
The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated by parades, open houses, receptions and air shows. The United States' longest running city-sponsored Armed Forces Day Parade is held in Bremerton, Washington. In 2012, Bremerton celebrated the 64th year of the Armed Forces Day Parade.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the men and women who died while serving in the country's armed forces. The holiday, which is celebrated every year on the last Monday of May, was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

It has been a number of years since we had our Annual Chili Cook-Off, but this year we are getting it off the ground once more. This year we are supporting Gold Star Mothers. If your Calendar isn’t already filled, we would love to see some of our Brothers, Extensions, Friends, Probates and Hang Around’s.
Thank you all for your consideration in attending this event!
Brothers, we will be postponing the COL for Floki that was scheduled for 5/7/22. Just got word that Sweet Pea just had another surgery and will be unable to attend. We want her to be able to attend the COL because she has missed out on everything else. We will announce the date when we get word that Sweet Pea can travel.
Brothers we have been invited to escort the traveling Vietnam wall on its only stop in Indiana this year. It being a Tuesday I know it will be difficult for some. This is open to the public so we will not be the only ones in attendance. Come out if your able and join the cause. No cost just Brotherhood, all though I'm sure we can find an establishment for some refreshments afterward! Any questions contact myself or brother Notten. Look forward to having a strong showing for the club.

About the ride: This ride is scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd. Staging from 0900hrs to 1145hrs. KSU at 1200hrs. It starts from 5 different locations around the greater ATL area and everyone will meet at the Battery (the new ATL Braves Stadium) in Atlanta. The Club will link up at Hell Bender Harley Davidson in Marietta, GA that morning and lead the ride from there.
It’s a fund raiser so it’s $30 per bike whether you have one rider or two (for the Club only so if you have your extension, just select single rider) and $10 for parking at the Battery. You don’t have to do the meal plan, you can get food and drink at the Battery without it, but you have that option.
