Arbor Day (or Arbour in some countries) is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Today, many countries observe such a holiday. Though usually observed in the spring, the date varies, depending on climate and suitable planting season.
Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a celebration held on May 5.
The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico's Independence Day—the most important national holiday in Mexico—which is celebrated on September 16.
The modern American holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia. Her campaign to make "Mother's Day" a recognized holiday in the United States began in 1905, the year her beloved mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, died. Anna’s mission was to honor her own mother by continuing work she had started and to set aside a day to honor mothers, "the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world." Anna's mother, Ann Jarvis, was a peace activist who had cared for wounded soldiers on both sides of the Civil War and created Mother’s Day Work Clubs to address public health issues.
In the United States, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in May. It falls near the end of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May and ends on the third Sunday of May.
First observed on 20 May 1950, the day was created on 31 August 1949, to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches – the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard – following the consolidation of the military services in the U.S. Department of Defense. It was intended to replace the separate Army-, Navy-, Air Force-, Marine Corps- and Coast Guard Days, but the separate days are still observed, especially within the respective services.
The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated by parades, open houses, receptions and air shows. The United States' longest running city-sponsored Armed Forces Day Parade is held in Bremerton, Washington. In 2012, Bremerton celebrated the 64th year of the Armed Forces Day Parade.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the men and women who died while serving in the country's armed forces. The holiday, which is celebrated every year on the last Monday of May, was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.
VA-10 Ridge Runner’s in SW Virginia will be holding another one of our kick ass parties next year, the weekend of May 14th-16th. It will be held in Tazewell VA at an outdoor venue we have used before. If you have been to one of our parties before then you know where its going to be at. Primitive camping will be available on site and free of charge. We also have space for pretty much any size rv or camper you’d wanna bring but there are no hookups for electric or water whatsoever. There also will be a couple motels in the area less than a mile away, but we ain’t talking the Four Season’s here lol. Closer to the event we will have a flier with more details. Tazewell is also the start point for the Back of The Dragon motorcycle route with a brand new shiny welcome center/brewery/food and merch building so riding your scoot’s is pretty much the way to go. Our parties feature great food, great drinks, loaded bloody Mary’s in the morning and BROTHERHOOD! Save the date’s, mark your calendar’s and you might wanna start resting up now cuz it’s gonna be a doozie lol.

Ga-8 will be hosting a poker run on Saturday May 8 to benefit the family of 2 year old Cayson Whitfield from Millen, GA. Cayson has leukemia. He is also a relative of Brother Taz from Ga-1.
We will do registration beginning at 0930, last bike out at 1100. Sign in location is B&T Food Fresh Market in Millen, GA. located at the intersection of E Winthrope Ave and S Daniel St in Millen. Your GPS app may show it as a Bi-Lo store. Same place.
We planned this quickly, so details after sign-in may change but right now the plan is to go from Millen to Metter to Leather Love and Freedom in Vidalia, to another B&T store in Mt Vernon and end at Iron Eagle Pizza in Claxton. Brother Meh's band, Dead Man's Hand will be playing later in the evening at Iron Eagle. Tables go quick when they play there.
We hope to see a lot of Brothers out to help a small child with cancer who happens to be one of our own.

After 8 wonderful alcohol fueled years the Western Maryland Chapter Clubhouse is closing its doors. With COVID last year and rent and taxes going up it is not in the cards to continue on. It has been a hell of a run and we want to thank all the brothers of this great club for the support over the years. The WMD Clubhouse has been the location of many Open houses, Rides, Bike shows, Charitable fundraisers, Birthdays, Memorial parties, Weddings, Divorces, patch parties, and Stripper nights along with many more bad decisions and poor life choices.
So, with that said we have (2) more clubhouse parties planned. So, clean up those 2 wheeled death machines and ride on out and help us drink up our inventory and have a few more laughs make some more memories and possibly some bad decisions.
