PA-4 Long Guns will be hosting our Annual on 3 and 4 Oct 2014.
The meet and greet will be the evening of the 3rd with a day full of planned activities on the 4th,
including biker games etc, free camping all weekend as well.

The word Halloween or Hallowe'en dates to about 1745 and is of Christian origin. The word "Halloween" means "hallowed evening" or "holy evening". It comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve (the evening before All Hallows' Day). In Scots, the word "eve" is even, and this is contracted to e'en or een. Over time, (All) Hallow(s) Eve(n) evolved into Halloween. Although the phrase "All Hallows'" is found in Old English (ealra hālgena mæssedæg, all saints mass-day), "All Hallows' Eve" is itself not seen until 1556.

Colonial Beach Virginia is holding their inaugural Bike Fest October 9 – 12 2014. The official web site for the event is: http://www.colonialbeachbikefest.com. There is an event calendar on the site and more events are being added weekly.

USMVMC Chapters from Culpeper and Richmond VA have been engaged, attending the Town’s Bike Fest Committee meetings and interfacing with local business and private clubs. Our results include:

1. Authorization to Camp on the 21 acres of the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge 1267 (1 mile from Main Street). The LOOM 1267 has been granted a special dispensation to open their facility to the public, but overnight camping is controlled by USMVMC VA-4 Culpeper.

a. Attached is a form to request camp sites for this event. Please complete and submit 1 form for per Chapter with a list of dates, number is sites (tents), and a check to: Orbitz VA-4 Treasurer, C/O Duane Duff, 3554 White Hall Rd, King George, VA 22485

b. LOOM 1267 will prepare a breakfast buffet each morning, for a small fee, as well as serve $2.50 beers (inside and outside), permit us the use of their pavilion, grills, horseshoe and corn-hole pits, pool table, dart boards, and their banquet facility.

c. LOOM 1267 has 1 concrete pad area that will accommodate an RV with water and electricity hook up as well as allow RVs to park elsewhere on the property.

2. Kelsey’s Kitchen, a local restaurant 2 blocks off the water will host USMVMC members. We will fly our banner and be able to use this facility as our rally point. Kelsey’s Kitchen will be serving $2 can beers during the event, lunch, dinner as well as having live entertainment.
