Independence Day, also commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States of America commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain (now part of the United Kingdom). Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.
It’s time to start planning for our family day at the river over the 4th of
July weekend.
Friday July 3rd we will meet behind Casey’s food store located at 10 Rome Rd
SW, Cave Springs Ga to watch the fireworks display which starts at 9 pm.
Plan to be there prior to 8 pm to get a place and find parking. Bring
chairs, coolers and snacks. The store usually provides hot dogs free of
charge.
Parking is very limited at the store, if you get there late you may have to
park at the school which is across the street and a block or two away.
On Saturday we will party all day at the River property of Hot Dog and Colt
45.
Basically you will need to decide on whether you are camping or not.
